Summertime & Freshers Week
Freshers
Hey Everyone :)
Well summer is here, and we have wrapped up until Fresher’s week .
If you want to be involved from the very beginning then drop me an email because it would be great to have some you helping out in the union around fresher’s time, it will involve minimal effort but it will greatly be appreciated.
The society will also need a few new committee members as some of last year's hard core people have left us for the bright lights that come after student life ... apparently. This can be a great experience for anyone who seeks a more responsible position within the University. Various roles available so let me know if you are interested and we will give you everything you need to get going.
Anyway, over and out for just now, have a good summer and I will see you all in September.
Graeme :p

Is your prospective employer a Diversity Champion?
Stonewall, the UK's leading gay equality organisation, works with Britain's top employers to ensure they treat their gay staff fairly. This means:
Equal benefits for same sex couples Encouraging them to set up employee network groups Telling all their staff that gay people are welcome Reminding all staff that homophobia has no place in the workplace. Take a look and see if your prospective or existing employer is on their Diversity Champions membership list. If they're not, ask them why. You are entitled to protection and equal treatment at work - and the best employers want to attract the best people, so speak up!
The brand new third edition of Stonewall's lesbian and gay recruitment guide features Stonewall Diversity Champions free of charge, showcasing them as some of the best employers for lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people in Britain.
For more information on the guide, visit their website , which also contains a video on diversity which showcases the benefits of the Diversity Champions programme as experienced by their members. This is a chance for everyone to see why organisations are working with Stonewall and gain an insight into how their best practice forum has moved the agenda forward in the day to day lives of staff at member organisations.
